I’m almost done with book number one. Pretty exciting. It isn’t even close to being a perfect work, but I have it down on paper and I’m quite happy with it. I think I have about 30 pages left and we have ourselves a manuscript.
If nothing else, I’ll self publish it so that I can put a book on my shelf by AJG.
This whole abandoning Facebook thing has been much more of a big deal to people than I would have imagined. You would have thought I died with the amount of concern people have had for me.
Nope. I’m alive and kicking.
There are good days at work and bad days at work. Today sucked.
I rode the bike at the gym for a total of 45 minutes tonight. Pain. Lots of pain the entire time. Fortunately a hot girl was running on a treadmill in front of me and apparently she forgot to wear a sports bra. Hey, listen…..there is only so much I can ignore….this did not rank in that category. She was just all over the place. I did my best not to look, but it was like a car crash that you could not take your eyes from. Only instead of a car it was a beautiful 25 year old girl. And instead of crash it was her…………..well, you get the point.
On that note: made my appointment to see an orthopedic surgeon on Monday. I am going to BEG for a cortisone shot. BEG. This is going to be crack head begging for a fix style begging. Only instead of performing sexual favors I’m going to remind this guy that I have the best insurance in the entire world and I will come in for as many follow up appointments as he feels is prudent.
I had lunch with my friend KM today. It always makes my day better when she and I grab lunch. It helps get through the day when you interject a shitty workday with a good friend.
It is hitting me that I’m going to be alone at this wedding and it makes me sad. I’ll make the best of it (I always do). But I did not want to go to this one by myself. I just didn’t. I really didn’t.
I have a lot of good things coming up in the next few weeks. I’ll be busy. Lots of travel. All of it good.
I bought E.B. White’s Here is New York. I was told that if I am going to be a writer that I MUST read E.B. White. So I am.
I’m sorry that this post wasn’t more interesting. I’ll try to do a better job tomorrow.
